Saving the Saolas!

Hey Guys!
Today, we will examine the importance of saving Saola! Saola are often called “Asian Unicorns” because they have two horns on their head! Pretty cool, huh? Anyways, Saola were discovered very recently (1992) in Vietnam by the WWF. Saola are most commonly noticed by their almost identical horns. These horns can sometimes grow up to 20 inches in length! These creatures are cousins of cows. However, their bone structures resemble antelopes. In order to identify them, many will see their striking white marks. Saola are only found in the Annamite Mountains which lie in Vietnam and Laos which are 2 Southeast Asian countries. They are disappearing quickly due to illegal deforestation and hunting. Many want their pelt which are worth hundreds of dollars and many want the forests in which they live in. Many organizations like the WWF are creating protection plans so that they can help this species live to their full potential again!
